  • An interaction I had when I was in my final days of my fast food "career":

Karen: "The service here is terrible I'm NEVER eating here again if you don't fix this RIGHT NOW"

Me (actually said to them): "Oh no, please don't, the giant multinational corporation with billions in revenue that is [Big burger fast food joint] will notice and cry"

    Karen: "I..yea...well!" Storms off

  • It is free, I have taken advantage of similar deals. By "bill credits" they mean their billing system will take it into account when it comes time to pay the bill. If your bill was $100 normally and the new phone would bring up the monthly payment to idk $120, the monthly bill you pay will still be $100.

Now it absolutely is a scheme to keep people on their service for at least 24 months because if you cancel then you do have to pay for the phone and then it's not free. It's the new "contract without a contract", but you'll find similar at every major US carrier.

  • If you want to really seal the deal and have some money, a work truck with tools in the bed with some screen printing on the door "Lemming Contractor Services" or maybe "Lemming Road Services"

  • It's certainly in the right direction, the biggest thing being is it not being a wholly customized proprietary chip

Found this article for 2023 https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/nvidia-tegra-t239-gpu-possible-nintendo-switch-2-graphics-hardware-analyzed

While Nvidia has not confirmed anything about the Switch 2, the T239 chip was first outed in 2021. However, the T239 has been name-checked in several subsequent leaks, including documents from the 2022 Nvidia hack. Based on these leaks, the T239 resembles an adaptation of the T234 chip from one of Nvidia's Jetson automotive modules. With that point of reference, it's possible to get a ballpark idea of the Switch 2's performance. DigitalFoundry used this estimate to create a Switch 2 analog with a modded RTX 2050.

Repurposed is good, reporposed means an increase in likelihood that they "left something helpful" in lol

  • Ambivert is a hybrid between the 2, I'm perfectly fine being at say a party all night doing small talk and what not without needing to worry about a social battery, but I can also be completely comfortable being at home alone for days/weeks/months at a time without going going crazy like extroverts can get

  • I once rolled my ankle but in the most perfect way in which instead of pain, it was the most pleasurable "bone popping" I've ever had in my life. All those tiny ankle bone just popped like satisfying bubble wrap that you just grabbed and popped a bunch, it was so satisfying I was dazed for like a solid minute or 2.

I have spent 15 years trying to do it again to no success :(

  • The developers are openly communist

They are openly authoritarian "communists", you don't need to simp for China, Russia or NK to be a communist. But they do and they leverage the .ml Instance to do so. This is the point of contention for most (including myself) donating to them, and it was brought up in those threads numerous times. If they put in place a new admin team that was as unbiased and fair as possible, they would massively increase in donations. They won't though because they know exactly what they're doing with .ml to further their personal political ideology.

To paraphrase one user on one of those threads "Devs should do dev work and not mod work, admins/mods should do admin/mod work and not dev work".

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tankie

Tankie is a pejorative label generally applied to authoritarian communists, especially those who support or defend acts of repression by such regimes, their allies, or deny the occurrence of the events thereof.

  • Prevost has faced criticism from advocates for clergy abuse survivors regarding his handling of sexual abuse allegations during his leadership in the Augustinian order and in Peru. The advocacy group SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) has alleged that Prevost failed to act against abuse claims involving Richard McGrath, a former president of Providence Catholic High School, allowing him to remain in his position despite longstanding accusations.[26]

He's going to be an amazing pope, off to such a great start! /S
