  • I was really pleased when places here in Canada started doing this. A close family member is trans, and I really felt their pain when going to a public toilet where we had to stand in a line for men or for women. That stuff can make every bathroom visit fraught, especially with the expectation that men will stand next to each other to pee. I even hate that as a cis man. Far better for everyone to form one line with no questions asked and have a private stall.

  • This is what shows all their stated justifications are BS. They simply fear and hate trans people and will do whatever it takes to make their lives more difficult. Weird bathroom rules are just a good opportunity to make trans people suffer. All the nonsense about fairness and privacy is just after-the-fact justification.

  • The NYT doing what it has always done: establishment propaganda disguised as just a more thoughtful and nuanced take that reveals where everyone else is getting it wrong. These things always have a loathsome tone of quiet superiority, and they always deny the facts.

Israel's not committing genocide, according to this NYT piece, because many Palestinians are still alive. And even after Israel killed every last person in Gaza the NYT would still call it a "bungled humanitarian scheme" from these good, honest guys in Israel who just keep making silly mistakes.

  • In the third and final dashcam video, recorded at 8.42am, an Ice officer breaks through the driver’s side window of the car. Khanbabazadeh can be heard saying, “I am getting out,” to which a masked Ice agent replies: “Well, you should have done it already.”

In the final video, taken by a bystander, Ice agents handcuff Khanbabazadeh while he is pressed up against his car. Khanbabazadeh can be heard saying, “I’m Iranian, I don’t know why they are doing this. I am a doctor,” while the bystander says, “No one here will identify themselves.”

Masked terrorist kidnappers loyal to Donald Trump. They don't even dare show their faces. The lowest of lowlife, cowardliest of cowards.

  • All Ploopy's stuff looks rough. I think they're 3D-printing them. Maybe one day they'll progress to something that gives a nicer result.

I was looking at their trackballs but the ambidextrous ones look awkwardly tiny and have rattly bearings, in addition to the rough finish. I support what they're doing but I wish the products were a bit less prototypey.

  • Pete Hoekstra was the one who told a bunch of lies about "no go zones" in the Netherlands, then called it "fake news" when he was called out on his lies, then minutes later called it fake news that he ever called the first thing fake news. Just like Trump, he lies even when everyone can see plainly that he's lying.
