  • Reminds me of how when longevity is modeled, it is supposedly asymtotic, suggesting no hard limit to lifespan. As we age, we apparently do not gradually approach the limit of our bodies, but rather continually need to beat increasing odds of death. Mathematically, there isn't a reason a human could not live this long

  • Stolperstein
  • Stolpersteine are always installed at the last place that the person chose freely to reside, work or study.

    In contrast to central memorial places, which according to Demnig can be easily avoided or bypassed, Stolpersteine represent a much deeper intrusion of memory into everyday life.

    I seldom feel moved by art, but this does it for me.
