Yeah, you have to be wary of whatever online service you use. I don't really trust DDG but I trust the alternatives less.

That was their browser though and you shouldn't use a Chromium based browser anyway if you value privacy (and the future of the web for that matter).

I really wonder how people making such claims use it. I'm a dev and have to search daily and constantly and hardly ever don't I find something and when I don't, the Google bang doesn't help either.

But maybe DDG just works well for technical stuff.?

You think the kings in medevial Europe could police every small village? Of course religion did not do a better job than modern society but some (many?) people do selfish/awful things if not watched but suddenly behave once they are (or think they are in case of an all-seeing god).

There are many countries where WhatsApp has become the defacto messaging standard. It's really hard and isolating to refuse to use it there.

I'm an atheist and tend to agree but I do give credit to history. Religion did help making people behave better during a time law and order did not really have that far of a reach.

Well, it got worse again, like basically every Windows except for 7. The real issue is that arbitrarily chose not to support certain "old" hardware.

What kind of support are you missing? I run Linux exclusively with an Nvidia card and see regular driver updates (not as frequently as the kernel, for example, but still).

I just hope they stunned the animals before slaughter since there's always controversy about that. Halal slaughtering seems unnecessarily archaic.

I hope they don't have your master password either. The decryption key sounds like just a longer password or salt with extra steps. What if the generation algo is cracked?

Also, you can go multi-factor with every password manager I know.
