I could have said "let's give them 0.354 inches" but why bother. I did that for a few days but going on Reddit is the same as supporting them.
Lol. Seems pretty absurd to ban comments critiquing the platform. That's some playbook fascist bullshit.
How dare you critique me! That's against my personal moderation policy. You are banned permanently from me!
Can we at least agree 2+2=5?
Try https://codepen.io/j0be/full/WMBWOW/ . It's not likely to lock you out, probably looks like it's all being manually done from Reddit's end
Your revolution sounds peaceful. I take your comment to mean "you might disagree but we'll both be revolting together arm in arm against the billionaires". I don't even see where violence is implied lol.
Similar situation here. Nice to see all the like minded folks though!
You did god's work being here this whole time. Thanks.
I tried coming over during the API drama, but seems like there are way way more users here now!
It's literally a picture of a normal man with normal feet we wearing big shoes. It's not even convincing...
Trump might look fat but he doesn't weigh much - actually he's 99% hot air.
"And so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." - Wayne Gretzky.
I mean none of those other policies affected me. When APIs were removed there was much more bot spam but I muted thousands of subreddits and it was acceptable.
Now they're banning me for criticizing the moderation policy? Do they think they're the Thai king? I'm just using alternatives now.
I mean with that language of course you got banned. How dare you critique Reddit's moderation policy? It's explicitly against their rules.
Redditor since 2010 here. I didn't try that hard. I got banned from politics, thought it was a one off. Then got a post removed for criticizing Reddit's moderation policy. So now I'm done for real.
I tried jumping off after the API removal but Lemmy wasn't as populated back then, and there was no immediate effect to me. More garbage, but I muted several subreddits a day and carried on. Now there are real alternatives.
NOTICE: You have been permanently banned. Reason(s): "not sucking dick".
Every single Reddit user I know IRL cares a lot about this, my friends won't shut up about it lol. Until now there haven't been good alternatives.
Welcome. I tried Lemmy a few years back but it wasn't nearly as polished and way fewer people. Like BlueSky... But in 2025 I guess I'm here to stay.
I had a post removed for simply criticizing Reddit's moderation rules. It was cited under Reddit Moderation Rule 3. Amazing how dense they are about their userbase.
We were pissed then and we're pissed now. The only difference is there's a real alternative. Lemmy is a lot more polished these days.
