Begging for all the Lemmy Audiophiles recommendations on computer speakers!
  • I'm running a pair of JBL 305p MKIIs with the matching LSR310S sub. I have it hooked to my PC and mixer with a Behringer UMC204HD which allows me to record the signal from my mixer. I've been happy with them for a couple of years now. Regardless, I would recommend studio monitors if you want a true sound.

  • Supreme Court halts enforcement of the EPA's plan to limit downwind pollution from power plants
  • It's not blind support and you're being disingenuous by calling it that. What's being said is that, of the TWO choices we have at this point, Trump is absolutely the worse pick for any sort of progressive agenda. To go with the bus analogy, do you want to get on the bus that might head one block in the right direction when your destination is the next town over, or do you want to get on the bus going miles in the complete opposite direction? And keep in mind, you HAVE to get on one or the other bus.

  • Right-wingers are now raging at a farm supply store – because they have LGBTQ+ staff initiatives
  • Man, I would love it if these assholes didn't shop there. So many times I've run into one when shopping there and they are spouting their bullshit while buying almost nothing. I'm like, uhhh, can you leave the cashier alone so I can spend several hundred dollars here?

  • Healthcare? Oooo maybe next time...
  • Can confirm. When I signed up through the marketplace though I didn't get a very good plan. The real trick was calling one of the approve agents they had listed. Now with the subsidy it doesn't cost me anything for the premium, I pay 10 bucks for a doctors visit, and, while I haven't needed much, the prescriptions have all been covered. It's the best insurance I've ever had honestly. I highly recommend speaking with an agent.

  • A simple guitar stand
  • Ahhh, nice. Nothing quite matches woodworking for trial and error! I've built a couple myself and each one gets closer to perfect, but not there yet!

Here's what I've got. Nothing too special but I love my Sheraton. My guitars.

  • A simple guitar stand
  • Not bad, but it's going to put some pressure on the back of the guitar, particularly a hollow or semi-hollow body. If the top part to support the neck was brought forward so that it could make full contact with the neck and keep the back of the guitar from making contact, I think that would be a better setup. You could maybe put a leather strap or something similar between those two pegs to cradle the neck and bring the body forward. On the whole though, I like it, nice job!
