I mean it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Sanders was a supporter. But I think it was probably just that Trump heard it on Fox and therefore is parroting it. That seems to be the pattern. His addled brain sees something and just repeats it.

Seems to track pretty directly to me. Political system that results in less rights and less voice for the people equals less engagement. I mean that's one to one almost. Particularly when that same system also favors corporations to an absurd degree that exploit workers the breaking point.

I think Scouts and teams are just very conscious of the fact that that program and that team was run in a way to make him look good. Artificially so at times perhaps, and at the cost of everything else.

And why pray tell do they not try to kick it the furthest every punt?

10 yards of field position could be the difference between winning and losing.

NFL punters don't average anywhere close to 65 yards. Even if they did, coverage usually can't cover that much distance that quickly. Long punts usually equal long returns. So 10 yd will absolutely make a difference. You just described a situation in which it would be a stupid sack to take. You'd be sacrificing field position. Not to mention the injury risk and wear and tear build up on your quarterback. You're using a video game logic.
