There's not really enough to sort. I just put them in a box.
I dint think these general "buy nothing" days are the right way to go. Whatever people don't buy on the day will just be bought the next day.
I think it would be difficult to achieve anything more than a standard deviation in daily sales, as in its not really noticeable.
If this thread is like the others, there are no demands but a strong intention to express general discontent.
You can describe someone like this as a socially conservative democrat.
I only keep one spare of each type.
I use cable ties to keep them coiled
Fair enough, my bad.
Yeah.
Organic produce is often inferior, which kinda stands to reason because all the tOxIc ChEmIcALs are added to improve the product.
I mean, it's obvious that adding fertilizer (phosphate) is going to produce bigger plumper tastier fruit and vegetables?
I buy organic cauliflower not because I prefer organic but because it's all my local green grocer sells. It always has these little green caterpillars. I don't let that bother me but I have noticed that it doesn't seem to keep quite as long. Whether that's because the caterpillars munching bits of it makes it deteriorate quicker, or it takes longer to get from the farm to me, or it's a different variety, I really don't know. It's def not objectively as good as the non-organic version.
As an aside, Bananas (like most fruit and veg) has been heavily domesticated by humans and the original from the pleistocene was pretty awful from the sounds of it with much less edible flesh and much bigger and harder seeds.
It would be better to subsidise owners rather than manufacturers.
I didn't say that's what you said, I asked you whether it's what you really believe?
Suggesting that this is RFK's "best idea" implies that this set up addresses the problem of drug abuse better than existing established rehab programs.
Sadly I think you've missed my point.
You seem to be completely bereft of self awareness. It's remarkable really.
I never look at organic stuff because while they may legitimately avoid pesticides and other chemicals, there is no scientifically demonstrated benefit to organic produce, and it costs a lot more.
There's an implication that organic is healthier and just better, but there's no evidence of that.
Like I could buy milk from cows that have nice names and listen to music while being milked, and that might make me feel better, but the nutritional quality of the milk is the same.
I can't believe I have to say this but, us poor people need to elect representatives that will regulate the fuck out of billionaires. This might surprise you but plenty of poor people vote for representatives that will be mean to other poor people, rather than those who will regulate billionaires.
They close the sandy area in most cases.
Sorry mate this is just bonkers.
Do you really believe RFK has just solved drug abuse?
Why not ask people who have been working in rehab centres for decades what is needed to mitigate this complex problem.
How can we tell billionaires about climate change? By voting. Poor people vote.
I don't think this is true.
It's not exciting to me any more because I hate the way it's changing the world.
In the 2010s it felt like tech would save us.
It has been determined that the tourist had attempted to engage with the animal from the shallows in an attempt to take photographs
The information is pretty scant but it sounds like maybe she was splashing around trying to get its attention.
It's really sad honestly. She's a double amputee now, and later in life so not likely to get a fancy new prosthetic.
Bull sharks are no joke. They're not as huge and scary as great whites but they're aggressive, and can operate in fresh water as well as salt water. Jeremy Wade did an episode on them in river monsters. Artificial canal estates tend to be infested with them.
I think the local authorities have some culpability in this. If you have sharks literally prowling around beaches full of clueless tourists then you have to close the beach. That's what we do at popular beaches in Australia when a shark is spotted.
I've discovered that I find drinking hot water to be very refreshing and hydrating. Just sip from a cup of hot water just like coffee or tea.
Its probably not very hydrating because you can't just chug half a litre like you can room temp.
Just saying, a preference for cold water even when it's cold is for sure a learned behaviour IMO.
Wow that's nuts.
