  • The thing that stands out most to me about this “all-female flight” is that it’s the only Blue Origin flight that used form fitting uniforms.

That really makes it clear as day what the goal was and how they view women.

  • Narrowly avoiding a collision isn’t the sign of a good driver.

Good drivers are the ones who prevent the risk of narrow misses to begin with.

I wholeheartedly agree with the other posters that the truck driver was driving too fast for that road and the load they were carrying.

You can’t objectively evaluate him since he’s your kid, and any advice he hears from you will be subject to scrutiny since you’re his parent.

If you’re right then your message will be more believable from a third party, and if you’re wrong then they will hopefully catch that.

Either way, you are right to try to set him up for success; that’s your job as his parent.

  • I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened here.

The odds of finding the real culprit after they've already eluded capture for 5+ days are extremely low.

Additionally, the evidence they supposedly found on him is extremely suspicious:

    1. An untraceable gun that he allegedly kept on him the entire time even though the shooter discarded everything else.
    2. A confession note that starts by talking about how much he respects the cops.

That doesn't just sound like the sort of thing that would be planted on him... that sounds like the sort of thing that would be planted on him by an idiot.

Unless they have actual body cam footage of them catching him and finding the evidence, I have to assume he was framed.

  • We can’t control the American voters so complaining about them doesn’t actually accomplish anything.

We can, however, change the Democratic party to better align with the voters.

    That should be everyone’s focus.

  • I assume the highlighted region is meant to call out the fact that they’re claiming a metaphorical expression isn’t being used metaphorically.

Yes, that’s incredibly stupid, and yes the entire letter is pro-hate propaganda.

However, I think it’s important to also call out something else about the phrase “wiped of the map”…

It’s an English language idiomatic expression.

    Idiomatic expressions are language specific.

When you see a quote attributed to someone speaking Farsi, and it includes English idiomatic expressions, you can be fairly certain the translation is complete bullshit, and whoever created the translation is trying to manipulate you.

  • 100% this.

Don’t just ignore it because they can sue and if you ignore that then you’ll get a default judgment against you which you actually will have to pay even if the original claim was complete bullshit.

On the other hand, if you demand they provide actual proof of the debt they will usually not have it and will just go away.

  • Honestly, Cosby’s fall was larger than Kanye’s.

Unless you were alive in the 1980’s it’s hard to understand how beloved Bill Cosby was.

It was probably on-par to how Mister Rogers is remembered today.

He went from that to being completely persona non grata.

I think Kanye’s fall is nothing in comparison to that; especially considering that he still has a career even though it’s not as successful as it used to be.

  • Any chance for a two state solution has been dead for decades, and everyone knows it.

The Israelis have intentionally carved up Palestinian territories with the explicit goal of making a viable state impossible, and they passed that point long ago.

Politicians talking about a two state solution have just been lying to you.

The only viable solution is a one state solution, and that one state would be majority Muslim.

That’s why the Zionists are so dead set on committing genocide and ethnic cleansing; it’s the only way Israel will actually still exist with its current form of government 50+ years from now.

The alternative is a state where the majority of people are not Jewish so the state itself can’t be tied to Judaism unless the majority are being subjected by a minority, and that is not sustainable.

  • My stubborn position is that all fruits are vegetables.

Anything that comes from a plant (vegetation) is a vegetable.

EDIT: Reading up on the case, they apparently didn’t treat fruits and vegetables as disjoint sets but rather with fruits as a subset of vegetables. So far, so good…

HOWEVER, they also apparently ruled that tomatoes don’t count as a fruit because they aren’t eaten for dessert…

    Wow… just… wow.
