I don't think so. The president can only pardon for federal crimes, and I think he is charged under Missouri state law. Which is why it was the governor's choice to grant him clemency or not.

I stumbled upon Russian Cybernetics in some google search related to the academic discipline of cybernetics. I like it as background music because it is mostly a very mellow electronic music. And I don't speak Russian, so most of the lyrics aren't distracting and mentally filtered out. Though some songs have english lyrics.

I really liked my "Sequences, Series, and Foundations" course which was the core proofs course for my University.

I will say first that I don't think this is actually any erosion of democracy or whatever. But since most elected judges and DAs try to win elections by being "tough on crime" and increasing conviction rates, I do think that this might not be a good idea long term, since reactionary elements like the petite bourgeois and local gentry focus disproportionately on these elections.

I was a fourth grader, so not too politically concious. But I happened to be home sick on 9/11. I got up late and the news was on and my Mom was in the other room on the phone with a relative. And I saw the second plane hit live. As I said I wasn't too politically concious. But definitely noticed so much fear mongering and paranoia afterwards. The anthrax mailings to people is the main story I remember from the time, along with people starting fires microwaving their mail before opening it.
