I love modpacks that add a lot of new stuff like biomes etc etc, and really set apart from the game.

- Complementary shaders + BetterF3 - How to get both working
Hello everyone!
So I installed BetterF3 using their .jar all-in-one installer and tweaked some of the settings to get my F3 to look how I want it, but after when I installed Complementary Shaders using their all-in-one .jar installer, it created a separate Iris & Sodium option in my minecraft launcher. I didnt think much of it as it is also installing fabric, so I thought my BetterF3 mod in my .minecraft/mods directory would be loaded automatically, but thats not the case.
The game looks amazing with the shader so I want to keep that on, but I also want my nice looking F3 menu back. How can i do that?
Thanks in advance!
P.s. In the image I attached, 1 is the fabric installation made with the BetterF3 installer, and 2 is the one made with the Complementary Shaders installer.
- What are good/respectable options these for a remote hosted Vanilla Minecraft server these days?
I was going to go with wisehosting.com after Mumbo Jumbo promoted them with an ad in one of his videos but apparently they're in Estonia and my bank doesnt do business with that country.
I've never had a server in MC before, primarily playing solo but have been going on my friend's realm the past couple months and really enjoying it. My complaint mainly is that realms limits render distance to like 16 or so and I'd like to crank it up to 32 as long as client side lag isn't too bad, and I've been told servers don't have the same cap on render distance as realms. We do like to build largeish amateur xp farms and regular redstone contraptions but shouldn't need something huge that can run Minecraft-in-Minecraft or anything like that.
So yeah, nothing fancy, no mods. Maybe 10 total players most we've ever had online at once was 5. What options are popular and known, inexpensive and reasonably reliable? Figured I'd ask on here rather than troll through old redd*t threads looking for people promoting server hosting. Thanks!
- Oasis is an AI generated Minecraft... experience? I wouldn't call it a game but you actually can sort of play it.
Regardless of how you feel about AI, a lot of people have been posting videos about this so you might be interested in seeing it.
Worked on desktop on Chrome, some phones might run it but mine didn't.

- Is anyone experiencing issues of flowing water becoming source blocks?
These source water blocks all came from some flowing water from the top of the staircase.
I'm playing the Fabulously Optimized modpack (version 6.4.0-alpha.2).
Edit: this bug is even weirder than I thought. The water flow and source blocks change based on where I am. In the following video, as I go down the stairs, the water spreads. I make a hole to breathe, and as I go away, the hole gets filled in. When I go back to the hole, the source blocks expand and I need to dig up to breathe. https://youtu.be/PLsbvyL0rH4
Edit 2: annoyingly, I wasn't able to reproduce this issue in a new world in 1.21.3 Vanilla or Fabulously Optimized.

- found an inland ocean monument in my survival world!
this is probably a bug due to my world being created in 1.16, but this terrain being generated in 1.21. i used an ocean explorer map to find the monument, and that map was also created in 1.16.
even the map doesn't line up! i'm guessing it follows what the terrain would've looked like in 1.16?
- Interview with Agnes suggests that Mojang may be working on changing the combat system againwww.spiegel.de »Minecraft«: Was macht das Spiel seit 15 Jahren so beliebt?
»Minecraft« ist das erfolgreichste Game aller Zeiten. Was macht das Spiel so beliebt?
The article is in German, but here's a section machine-translated into English
> We look at what players want and what we've changed recently. If we added new types of caves and forests to the game last year, it will be about other things for now, such as the combat system. In this way, we want to ensure that there is something for everyone in "Minecraft". We also try to add things that solve a problem in the game.
- Its Official, we now have the ability to play with friends.
Apparently they did this to the IOS version a few weeks ago and here we are, doing it on android too. "Play with friends".

- Need help introducing friends to Minecraft for the first time
I want to introduce some of my friends to Minecraft. They have never heard of it before and I am having trouble explaining them from the beginning since the scope of the game is very vast.
I want to give them a preview of the game before they start playing themselves, so I would prefer a video explaining the same. I tried to search for it on YouTube but I could personally find no video that could explain the premise and potential of the game from scratch. I tried to explain them via playing the game on my device too but that was of no meaningful help either since I have no personal worlds or builds to show.
Could someone please help me recommend some useful resource for this matter? I am sure they will come to love it once they get to properly understand it.
- Definitive answer for silk touch?
I'm new to Minecraft and did a lot of googling but everyone has a different answer for silk touch.
Does anyone have a definite way to get it with an enchantment table?
Some say you need to be level 17 and have 9 bookshelves before it will show up (random). Others say you need to be between level 20 and 30. One says 30. Another says you can just keep trying over and over using a grindstone to remove the wrong enchantment before trying again.
