The only lanyards I know of look like this:
Yeah it's one of those but made from paracord and attached to a knife.
Google "paracord lanyard" for examples.
There is a set of people, mostly dudes, for whom knives are basically jewelry. A development on masculinity tropes. Sometimes they make lanyards for their knives.
I've been wondering what that was ever since I saved the image. Thanks!
