Pyongyang accused South Korea of sending a drone into North Korean territory.
North Korea has said it had found the remnants of a South Korean military drone and that any further "violation" of its territory would result in a "declaration of war."
Tensions between the two sides of the peninsula have escalated since May when the North began flying balloons carrying garbage across the border to the South, prompting Seoul to respond by restarting loudspeaker propaganda broadcasts.
Look, they're out of missiles to shoot into the ocean and they blew up all the roads between them and the South. They've got to do something to get attention.
Technically I think North Korea is at war with the US, not South Korea. To declare war against South Korea would imply they believe there is a legitimate government to declare war against, whereas I believe they just view it as an American occupation.
Right? The one started in 1950 ended with a ceasefire but there was never a treaty ending the hostilities.
I guess they mean ending the ceasefire and a return to active wartime hostilities but the way they say it is certainly funny.
