The block feature, the way Twitter implemented it, allowed you to block someone in the middle of an argument to prevent them from leaving a response to them.
You can still "mute" people when block is removed, but you can't use it to censor someone like the old block feature.
Block should be removed, we don't have that here on lemmy for a reason. Blocking on lemmy doesn't prevent someone from leaving a reply.
Posting misinformation, and then blocking anyone articulate enough to call out the BS was an abuse of the feature.
