No voters unite! Osrs has no new skill, osrs needs no new skill
I know nothing about this, genuinely curious. Wouldn't the new content be optional? If so, why couldn't you just ignore it

Not only max cape but it affects almost all game forward. Imagine you make an account and opt out from magic or prayer.
Indeed it would. From what I have read and seen, I actually think this could be a lot of fun, and would be enough for me to start back up my membership. But every player uninterested in it can simply ignore it the same way they ignore having fun with Cooking

The only people more toxic than RS players are OSRS players.
What's toxic about not wanting a new skill? The voting system is in game to vote in/exclude content we don't want. Literally the purpose is for community to decide if something should be part of the game or not.
I don't want sailing, and there's others who don't want it. I genuenly hope that amount is more than 30% of the player base voting.
From my experience, RS3 players are generally chill and nice while osrs players are toxic af.
Just don't go to r/runescape. That place is so fucking toxic.
!runescape@lemmy.ml is much nicer, although quiet still
