Yeah that's how having a job generally works
Normal doesn't mean good.
When you're done with one task, you move on to the next, of course.
But companies shouldn't just ignore the employees that get twice as much done. Yet so many of them do.
A job should recognize efficiency and hard work, and either promote that employee or pay them more since they are producing more for the company.
Always email your report at 5 pm just before logging off
Or in the start of the bosses day's off.
