I would love to say but its a small company in a fairly small community and I dont want to say for privacy reasons. Wouldnt make it too hard to figure out where I live.
Lets just say if you buy any blueberries labelled IFC (international fruit company) there is a chance they are our berries.
Just to be clear, I did NOT work for the IFC. We just packaged our berries for them and sent them out with their label. I cannot comment on the quality of IFC products in general.
In Canada, so no USDA but yeah, should have reported it. The shipment got sent back anyway because the stores rejected it. By the time it got there it was rotten.
The owner of the company is the kind of dipshit that spends a dollar chasing pennies. We've sent out subpar berries knowing full well they will be rejected. The owner still tries anyway. Complete moron.
Personal experience says this stuff is widespread in manufacturing. What i've seen is full of the typical antivaxers, conspiracy theorist and "this is the way we've always done it" beliefs and attitudes. Lots of anger management issue types and the overnight workers have more than a few ankle bracelets they can't take off for years..
Go with the flow and the workload is nothing, try to change anything and it's an uphill battle that no one wants to engage with you.
