Shirking your responsibilities onto other people for the sake of convenience is never a good look.
It's not my responsibility. The store literally wants shoppers to do this, and they specifically pay people to specifically do this task. The store wants people to spend their time and energy shopping for more items instead of expending themselves returning a bag of muffins to a shelf all the way on the other side of the store.
I bet you don't return your shopping cart to the cart corral as well because "tHeY PaY PeOpLe."
