More horror movies today due to Halloween later this month. We have more than 842 films online right now and we should reach 1000 this week. Once we are at 1000 we will begin to mostly upload recent TV shows.
Please reply to any recent thread if you have any viewing difficulties. We had one movie reported as showing the 3D version and we have fixed that.
~Has anyone here successfully watched a movie on this site? Because I can’t for the life of me. I’ve brought it to their attention several times that I am immediately redirected to malware sites, and nothing has changed despite being told they are looking into it.~
Knowing that the ad issue was on my end after confirmation from others, I’ve fixed the redirect issue. Still having some issues with some movies but OP is responsive and helpful, hopefully we’ll get it figured out soon :)
Hi, we have disabled popup advertising on the website. You previously said that it was working on your phone but the ads still showed on your desktop, is this still the case? We will message the advertising company about this.
You can use an adblocker to completely remove adverts.
Thank you. Okay, I’ve played around with my adblocker settings quite a bit. On desktop, we are past the redirecting issue (yay!!!), though I can’t seem to skip forward or back without any movie starting over every time. I tried both the forward/back buttons and just clicking on the time bar, both cause the movies to reset from the beginning.
On mobile (iOS), it took trying a few different adblockers, but I have finally stopped the redirects (yay again!!). Some movies work, others do not. I was able to play Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse and Deadpool 2 with minimal issues (I am able to skip via the forward/back 10 buttons without it restarting from the beginning, but cannot click anywhere within the time bar without breaking the movie). Unfortunately, for Barbie and Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse it says “The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.” Anything else I can do on my end to fix this? I really appreciate you continuing to help me figure this out.
We can confirm that we are also seeing the problem with time skipping and clicking on the time bar, we are looking at the server and the video player to solve this. Thanks for your detailed response.
For the error "The media could not be loaded", sometimes refreshing the page fixes that. We understand that doesn't really solve the problem, so we will work on a better solution for this today.
We have added some code which tries to reconnect if there is a video loading error. This should fix most occurrences of "The media could not be loaded...". We will keep testing this on more devices.
We have also added a feature which tries to remember the current time for each movie. So if the viewer refreshes the page or comes back later on the same browser, it should continue at the same place in the movie. We will test this more.
Regarding skipping forwards and backwards, we are still working on fixing this.
Thank you for working on this! While Barbie and Across the Spiderverse no longer display the “media could not be loaded” error, now I just see a spinning loading bar and a banner under the movies says “Reconnecting to server...” but it never reconnects (on iOS)
We were fixing some server issues over the past few days and there were a few hours where the media servers were down. They should be more stable now, sorry about that.
We have added some fixes for video time changing, but there are still some cases where it doesn't work properly yet. We will check on iOS after the weekend.
