I'm going to do an edit and link a forgotten weapons video to give it credence. You're correct. I still think someone could easily break the gun away from the holster (including a child), and eventually figure out a way to fire the gun.

I agree. That's why there should be as many "complications", as possible. The struggle is making an easily accessible gun, that isn't accessible to others. It's a puzzle.
