No disrespect to Zachary Quinto, who is an amazing actor in his own right. But whenever I think of Spock, only Nimoy comes to mind.
Nimoy isn't Spock. Spock is Nimoy.

As I recall, nothing beats Spock. But it has been a while since I played rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock.
Scissors cuts paper.
Paper covers rock.

I like the dude that they got in Discovery. I think he's a WAY better Spock than Quinto.
Ethan Peck. Agree! A shame he never got to act opposite Nimoy like Quinto did.
I don't even really like Disco but Ethan Peck is a great Spock. Thankful that they put him in Strange New Worlds too.
I hate to admit it but Disco is good trek with some moments of absolute greatness and brilliance and I am glad the writers were allowed to take huge swings that landed. It's not perfect and it's certainly an entirely new type of Star Trek [I could do with less production, FFS.] but I was a hater season 1 and I've come around in season 4. Four definitely isn't as strong as 2 or 3, which is unfortunate.
I don't hate it, but I also strongly dislike Trek that doesn't follow the episodic formula, meaning I can't drop in anywhere and have an enjoyable experience. I disliked Picard for the same reason. SNW is much more planet-of-the-week, which I greatly prefer.
It was bad enough when cliff hangers spanned a few months; now they span a period closer to a year.
I mean, come on. I'm getting old and yeah, I'd like to see the next episode before I die.
waiting for episodes is a choice you make when you consume streaming media. I waiting till now to watch any of the new trek series so I get to watch Discovery, Picard, and 3 seasons of SNW all at once without having to wait.
Quinto has the disadvantage that the movies he played Spock in were shit overall.
(The first two, at least. Like most people I never saw the third one.)
I actually also quite like Ethan Peck's Spock. Wonderfully cast. But of course Nimoy is still the best.
