In front of a bike shop in their parking area! Where I was told to try out the bike I was going to buy! All while I couldn't hear myself think because multiple cars driving on the nearby road had illegally modified their vehicles to be as loud as possible.

I'm not so sure you should be giving advice about when it's acceptable to be in public.
Foolish pedestrians. Don't you realize that the outdoors are for cars? You shouldn't be allowed to exit your home unless you immediately enter an automobile.
If only we could build something that could seperate cars from people. Some kind of pedestrian lane perhaps? One that doesn't encourage many points of conflict between cars?
Nah lets slap some concrete down next to road and neglect to fix it whenever we resurface the road.
