She's more of a retiree that eats tuna, plays bridge and has a favorite comfy blankie. She's a 16 year old house cat that's getting kinda creaky and doesn't like reaching back to wash below her rib cage anymore. But she purrs at me at least 3 hours a day, which is nice. She's purring at me as I type this.
She's also the second greyest creature I've ever seen. When I was in high school, a girl name Sheila brought in this Chow dog that had grey eyes, a grey tongue...I think if you cut that dog, it would have bled grey. My cat has yellow eyes, purple beans and a pink tongue. She's technicolor compared to Sheila's dog.
I asked Sheila out senior year. She turned me down but in a perfectly nice way, like she treated being asked out by a nerd like me as a perfectly reasonable thing to happen, which if anything was a boost to my self-esteem. Like she didn't try to make me feel I was beneath her or whatever. I actually thanked her for not laughing in my face.
