Britain said on Monday it had detected a first human case of flu strain A(H1N2)v, which is similar to a virus currently circulating in pigs, and that the individual concerned had experienced a mild illness and fully recovered.

  • Oh, boy. That's just what we need - a swine flu pandemic, just in time for 2024. At least Britain is reporting it early and taking it seriously (from the sound of it), not just sweeping it under the rug until it's a real problem.

    • Bet it's what China is attempting to keep hidden

      • I sure as hell hope not. Yeah I know they are experiencing clusters of something they claim is a mix of stuff we already know about-- flu, each, adenovirus, etc. Worth keeping an eye on but no sense in freaking out at this point. We can always mask up when in public and maybe avoid the regular germs.
