All Plex authentication goes through Plex managed servers. There is no local option unless that has recently changed.

No problem! Just wanted to confirm that I wasn't going crazy lol. Plex has been trying to get people to make accounts. They don't want people doing what I just said because they want your shit linked to an account and they want the data collection. As soon as this solution stops working I will switch to Jellyfin. I'm honestly surprised Plex media server is still free. I think they will paywall it within the next year if I had to guess.
