In a letter to victims who filed a lawsuit against the company, 23andMe blames its breach on customers for reusing passwords.
Hope this isn't a repeated submission. Funny how they're trying to deflect blame after they tried to change the EULA post breach.

Why was 23andMe not requiring MFA?
2 0 ReplyThey do now. But before this they would prompt users to activate it, but it was the users choice not to.
This is, largely, the norm for nearly every online service.
