I know absolutely nothing about TikTok, but as someone who has been alive since vinyl records were the standard vehicle for music, I can tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt that Universal are the bad guys here. Record companies are the scum of the earth, absolute garbage human beings.
I'm more inclined to believe both parties are the bad guys here. The only good guys are the musicians stuck in the middle.

Probably because they have been around long enough to read and see the news/information about how predatory the business is... do you really need citations?
I'm not arguing against you, but you need to substantiate a bit more of where your insight comes from outside of just being a customer
