Tbf the US don't have the best drivers, since driving licenses are so easy to obtain as far as I've heard
That's not even counting indirect deaths by pollution and other non-traffic related deaths caused by cars
What are the statistics on how many people are saved by their ability to turn though? In my life, on two separate occasions, I've swerved to avoid some dumbass who ran out into the street.

Yet if you and 30 other car owners were taking the trolley instead, they could have run all across the street with no issue

Yeah but a collision between 2 cars will be a lot less deadly than a collision between a car and a human
