You're not missing out; the movie glorifies fascism and makes dictatorships look cool. A half hour into the movie and you realize all the flaws of a system where you allow just any stupid moron to vote who hasn't served the country. It's idealistic trash and ignores unfortunate modern circumstances.
If you love your country, you serve, and the military is the reflection of a nation that loves its country, so why isn't the army the only citizenry? Universities only churn out over educated academics who wouldn't know which side of a rifle spits bullets, and when the world comes to our shores trying to invade our great nation, who do you think it'll be taking up arms to defend us? A rugged man who learned how to take a life, or some guy who knows how to spell burgeosie?

How is it satire peeonyou (if that's even your real name)? You know how exhausting it is to watch a criminal trial take forever when you can just have the presiding judge look over the case and pass verdict without the joke of having a lawyer covering for the criminal?
