This is an actual plot point of some old Spider-Man stories.
Wasn't there another character that had something similar happen?
They were lured into an environment where their powers would be useless and they're just like "pfft bitch thought" and started ripping shit straight outta the ground.

Also, old spider man 2 for PS2. God I hate the parks and low raise buildings in that game.
