TAIPEI, Taiwan — Australia summoned the Chinese ambassador on Monday and demanded an apology after a Chinese Foreign Ministry official tweeted a graphic, computer-generated illustration of a grinning Australian soldier holding a knife to the throat of an Afghan child, an image designed to criticize Australia's involvement in the war-torn country.
The Australian media freaked the fuck out about this picture doing the rounds on the internet but because they couldn't deny that the war crimes happened, the best argument they could muster was "well Akshully this isn't a real photo".
Like no shit, war crimes don't happen on huge flags of the countries involved.
Me a reporter for the media standing in the Louvre: "So as you can see, this picture of "Mona Lisa" is actually just a doctored painting of a real person, not ACTUALLY the real Mona Lisa who lived in the 16th century Italy and that wasnt even her real name!! More at 11 we're following this story as it develops."
Not only was this a criticism of the Australian war crimes committed, but a bunch of media outlets published articles "debunking" the artwork, stating, "No, an Australian soldier, in fact, did not slit the throat of a child on top of an Australian flag. It is an artistic fabrication by a Chinese artist"
The west is cooked. This isn't even lack of media literacy. It's not knowing the mirror is just a reflection and not a clone lol
