Sam would literally sell anything necessary he had, in order to keep his dear Frodo from having to do such a thing.
Would that include his own hobbit hole?

There's a fanfic I read years ago called the Bagenders that has become my head canon. They all live together in London in modern times after being granted immortality. Gandalf is a terrible lush. It's amazing.
