That's true. But that isn't what Nintendo has done, is it? I've bought lots of games made by Nintendo. Literally all the (physical) games I have are by Nintendo. 🤔

Obviously it has to be good from the start, but yes. See GTA and Skyrim as examples where they support and market an old title.
The original commenter was implying the game wasn't that good, they just didn't release others. My point was exactly that it had to be good for people to still be buying/playing it.
Sure. I read it more as if you market a (good) game for long enough it will eventually be a best seller. Time is a variable there.

I misread the comment, but still yes lol. Case in point: Diablo Immortal + 4, all of the new Pokemon games, a lot of the Call of Duty titles, that Battlefront remaster, Starfield, Overwatch 2..........
I think I misread what you said because MK8 doesn't suck. But still arguably yes, case in point being Skyrim IMO. Or like, Fallout 4
