- What are you playing this weekend? 2024-05-17
Posting this just 4 days after the last weekly thread, to get it back to Fridays. Next one should be exactly 1 week after this, on next Friday, 24th May.
About the games, I only played a little bit of Picross S4, I have about 25 Picross and same amount of Mega Picross remaining, plus Colour Picross and 5 Extra Picross. I do most of my games over the weekend these days, so that's pretty much my normal week.
What about all of you? What have you been playing lately, and what do you plan to play this weekend?

- How can I get my Switch better connected to the Internet?
Usually, when I try to use my Switch for online connectivity the system is connected but I keep getting error messages and won’t actually connect to the online servers I try to access.
I live in the countryside with my family, so maybe that’s why my Internet is so wonky?
But I’m still able to access the online classic games for the NES, SNES, and Game Boy at least: I just can’t play the regular Switch games.
Any advice for a better connection?

Finished Azure Striker Gunvolt, but since it ended in a cliff hanger, started (and finished) Azure Stricker Gunvolt 2 (both comes in same bundle). The second game is very similar to the first one, but with some more powers, another playable character, and QoL features.
Power ups also work a bit differently. Though I preferred the original one for that. Other than that, it felt like an improvement over every aspect.
After that, started Octopath Traveller. The game is so beautiful. This is my first 2D-HD game, and while I have seen many trailers of different games that use this visual style, actually playing the game made me fell in love with it.
Game is a pure JRPG, loving everything about it, except that each characters are completely separate, even when they are in party there is no interactions between them, it's like others don't exist. It's basically story of 8 different characters, that just happen to be traveling together, without ever talking to each other.
I am still in early game though. Have just recruited my 5th character, but haven't cleared their initial story yet. Difficulty seems to be increasing with each new character recruited, but haven't had much trouble with it yet.
Last, but not least, still playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and will probably be playing this for many months. On paper, it didn't seem like a game I would enjoy too much, I am generally not a fan of too much realism in games, but I am really enjoying it. As you repeatedly do something, you get better in it, and the difference is very obvious, so it makes the "grind" worthwhile, though that doesn't mean the game isn't fun when you are learning stuff.
Well, that's all about me, what about all of you? What have you been playing lately?

Finished Ori and the Blind Forest. It's a really good game, very polished, visuals and sound are great, but some part of design feels a bit dated, or well they require very twitchy reflexes. Other than that though, loved the game. Highly recommended for any metroidvania fans.
Still playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance, it has finally started to get good. Well, I was enjoying it since the start but I am role-playing a non-thief player, which kind of limited the starting money and equipment, limiting the side content you can do in early game. But after some time doing what feels like nothing, I have started to get better a bit, and things have started to become easy. Got a bit of that OP feeling I like in these RPGs, though I am sure I'll very soon face something that will easily destroy me again.
Started Azure Striker Gunvolt. It has been on my wishlist for too long. Playing the first one right now (comes in a pack which has first 2 games), and I am enjoying it. The game isn't much difficult but you can enable challenges trying to reduce your time taken and clearing staging without taking damage.

- Accessory maker MobaPad says that Switch 2 will accept Switch cartridges and extra Joy-Con buttonsarstechnica.com Report suggests Switch 2 can play all original Switch games
New Joy-con buttons, 1080p screen also feature in MobaPad's "first-hand information."
MobaPad is a Switch controller and game case maker (that I have never heard of), so they should have reliable info. They said that:
- The Switch 2 will have physical cartridges and the slot will also be able to accept Switch 1 games.
- There will be a new button on the back of each Joy-Con, behind the triggers.
- There will be a new button on the right Joy-Con, by the Home button.

Hearing good things about it. Though there are some performance issues (on Switch), specially in handheld mode.
Hopefully they will be resolved soon.

Playing Kingdom Come Deliverance. Tried fighting a few people / bandits, but they just kill me so easily, apparently I have to take it slow, and do other stuff to get strong (or I can just rush the main quest which is easier, but I don't to do that).
Thief route is supposedly pretty strong in this one, gets you much needed cash and equipment in the early game, but I am role-playing a good person, who doesn't steal, so having some trouble with that one. I believe this will take at least 2-3 months for me finish, can end up taking twice that too.
Also started Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition And while I am loving the game, I can see the things that are a bit frustrating. I am just a little way in Forlon Ruins, and keep doing, when I have no energy, so can't even save and have to jump through few bits again and again.
What about all of you? What have you been playing?
