- No it wasnt the point of beeper, its compatible with 15 chat apps, not just imessage, also, rcs sucks
  
  Beeper existed before the iMessage thing as an attempt to unify all your messaging apps into one.

  Also, does RCS have encryption, cross-platform, yet, after 15 years of development?
