Plex is anti consumer, use jellyfin

I’ve been very happy with Plex but I’m always open to a better alternative
Plex is fine for content delivery but they are pushing their own media services and require payment for more advanced features and some devices, which some fear will only get worse over time. Jellyfin is nearly as good for media playback but fully free and open source.
It's the nearly part that is keeping me away from jellyfin for now. But if plex enshittifies, I'll switch straight to jellyfin
They IP blocked ALL of Hetzner, because there were people running commercial instances on it. Received no communication it was happening. Spent hours trying to figure out what was broken. Finally found out after crawling through the forums.
Had to relocate all of my data. Fuck them.
I’ll never have that problem again with jellyfin.
