What really bothers me: why does it have only 6 legs?!

As a robotics engineer, it is often the optimal number to balance between speed and stability. Plus there are many gaits for hexapedal robots to further find the balance
I'm pretty sure they're referring to calling it a spider when it's more of a crab.
