A 17-year-old boy faces open murder charges nearly two weeks after he allegedly hit and killed a bicyclist in the northwest Las Vegas valley.
The video is going around Twitter and it's really bad, they intentionally hit a car while laughing and taunting the driver they hit, then they intentionally hit and kill a cyclist.
Let's hope this help showing how the lack of bike lanes kill people. Cyclists have the right to move as much as people driving and deserve the same quality of service and investing as private vehicles (cars), and public transit.
Of course it would help, a physical separation between the two would made it harder to the driver to hit the cyclists. A bike lane that is just a line of paint on the road wouldn't, but paint is not infrastructure.
In the Netherlands (we know about bike lanes!).A bike lane is often not seperated from cars with any physical barriers in urban area's. When someone intentionally wants to hit you with their car there is little to stop them.
And every person who wants this would complain that they can't get an uber or any deliveries, and now it's winter and you can't cycle. And you have injuries that prevent you from cycling? Fuck you, enjoy your cycling Utopia. You have a kid and two jobs and cycling is not possible for you? Fuck you, enjoy your cycling Utopia.
in my town the city center is closed to cars starting from 11:00, deliveries come by bikes, bikes have trailers that can transport a lot of things. It's not an issue, just that you have to think in different ways
Four out of five Americans in the private sector are employed in the service sector. So the cargo that pays the most bills is the one with four limbs, two of which can be used to operate the pedals on a bicycle.
