Serious question: Why is China having good ties with a country known for mass murdering communists?
If China pulls Indonesia into its orbit that creates an opportunity for Indonesia to move out of US sphere of influence and chart a new course. As long as countries remain dependent on the west, there's no possibility of positive change.
