The only reason why it seems that way is because the history books generally point to a particular person as being responsible for some big change in society, but people like that are only able to exist because there's hundreds of thousands of people who's names you'll never know put in the work to make it possible for people like Bernie, or MLK, or whomever to be the face those movements.

Members of Congress don't typically have monumental achievements you can point to. Bernie's primary job is working in committee, meaning he wrangles the other senators into actually getting work done.

Regarding the bills and stances he took on previous US military interventions, it’s hard for me to see how he could be against the current status quo. I recognize he’s a progressive in the US political landscape but is this politicians truly the face that can take on MAGA and the oligarchs? Does he truly have what it takes?
