Peperoni cruschi "crunchy peppers"
Peperoni cruschi "crunchy peppers"
Translation isn't accurate since cruschi is a dialect word from Basilicata, the Italian region where this dish originates.
They're dried peppers briefly dipped in frying oil and then cooled and served or packed. They're really good.

4 0 ReplyPeperoni cruschi, it's a recipe from Basilicata so the word "cruschi" comes from there, and loosely means "croccanti" or crunchy. If we want to italianize it it would be peperoni croccanti
3 0 ReplyThat is the original italian. Peperoni = peppers.
