We buried a cat we thought was ours. He was hit by a car. Anyhow later that evening Sammy came home wanting to be fed.
That must have been the best feeling ever when he came back, loosing a pet is hard but if it comes back it's probably the complete opposite. You got lucky that day.

Ok, for real I'm glad you didn't really lose Sammy. It's just not often I get to make a Pet Sematary joke.
I was on the other side of this. Our cat was hit by a car, some woman was crying over him thinking it was her cat. Our cat never came home so hopefully that woman's cat did.
