Thinking about having my nipples pierced. However, my main source of doubt is that it would be very visible when using a T-shirt...

I've had them before. If you want to hide them, wear a jacket or sweater. It's not a big deal anymore though. The only people that ever said anything was friends and family teasing a bit. I'd still have them if my body didn't reject them so often, but that's just something to do with me
Yeah, I had the same problem. Felt like it never fully healed.
I loved mine, but eventually they started rejecting. But instead of being pushed out, it was like my skin was repeatedly cracking while trying to absorb them. Sucks, because they looked great.
Mine never fully healed but then I had my gall bladder removed and was on some massive antibiotics for a few weeks, and one of them finally healed up. A few years later I got a bad tooth infection, and the antibiotics healed up the other one. They do still get light crusties so I try not to move them except in the shower, but at least there's been no sign of infection in the last 15 years.
