I was hoping we would see something relating to it in the bad batch, as it has Scorch, but they seem to mostly be using him as a background character.

Even if we did it's going to be so far removed from the team that made the first one it wouldn't feel the same anymore. I think the time for a sequel that feels like a true sequel is far gone
That certainly seems to be the way disney is going, I'm just so perplexed by them having Scorch be a reoccurring background character in the bad batch if they aren't going to do something with him.
Yes and no. We're never getting a sequel. But creators of Bad Batch confirmed that Scorch was the commando leading the other clones during the protagonist escape.
