Canned mushrooms on pizza are superior to fresh mushrooms

Something about the texture paired with the added salt makes them a superior topping. However I’ll admit it’s the only scenario in which canned mushrooms are better than fresh.

Gotta second this. The only exception I would maybe throw in there is sauteed fresh mushrooms. But that brings the texture more in line with canned. I don't care for fresh onions either, while we're on the topic.
- Sauteed would absolutely be the best choice, but it's not really a fair comparison. Raw mushrooms = little flavour. Canned mushrooms = some flavour, better texture. Mushrooms freshly sauteed in tasty fats = superior flavour, considerable effort.
