Chicago police won't discipline 9 officers tied to Oath Keepers extremist group
Mayor Brandon Johnson and CPD Supt. Larry Snelling had earlier vowed to rid the department of officers listed on the anti-government group Oath Keepers' rolls.
Chicago Police Department leaders said Thursday they have decided not to punish any officers whose names appeared on the leaked membership list of the Oath Keepers, an anti-government extremist group that played a key role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
“The investigation is closed and the allegations were not sustained,” a spokeswoman for the CPD said in a statement, declining to provide any documents from the internal probe.
The brief statement stood in stark contrast to Chicago Police Supt. Larry Snelling’s zero-tolerance vow to the City Council in October, after WBEZ and the Chicago Sun-Times revealed the misconduct records of cops with ties to the Oath Keepers.

Love how not just this cop but all black cops carry water for white supremacy. Sure law enforcement needs to be done, but they don't need racists, homo/transphobes, antisemites/islamophobes, ideological nationalists, or any other extremist piece of shit in their ranks, shit just further erodes public trust, just like this cop's statement and stance does.
If the US military gets rid of them the cops should too, and the US military now does, hence what Tommy Tuberville's promotion block was all about, because that scumbag wanted to reverse the ban on white supremacists and Nazis in the military because he said they were "patriots" too, fuck that noise.
Cops need need accountability, oversight, and standards, immediately.
