Holy shit… my wife and I just found this series last night and watched the first 5 episodes. It was almost like watching justice porn where the good guys got good things and the assholes got theirs.
- I really loved the first half of season 1 and had mixed feelings about the second half. I am enjoying the second season that is airing right now though.

Lots of SOL stuff that I could take or leave this episode. I am kind of upset with how gendered everything is in the military. Like, in a world in which supernatural powers exist, why exclude most of one gender when they might have useful powers? I know that Kaoruko is proof that it isn't a complete shutout of women, but her commanding officer bluntly states that she would be a higher rank if she were a guy. Additionally, she is heckled when she out-fought some nobody dude and then is the one cleaning up the kitchenette? Like, wtf guys, get it together.
I do like the dynamic she has with Miyo though. She basically forced her way past Miyo's outer layer of shy defenses and managed to become a friend super quickly. @rikka@ani.social

I want to know more about Miyo's true parentage with this guy claiming to be her actual father. So, I am hoping that we get more flashbacks through Miyo's dreams. I am also hoping that we might get a chance to visit the Saimoris, or what's left of them, to try to get more info.
