Not sure Texas @ Alabama is as important as number 5. It's early enough in the season that it'll be a blip on the narrative when the committee's post-rationalizing their selections. And if it's close, either team can "afford" the loss. Heck, Texas went up in the rankings last year after losing to Alabama.
The real games that are important are wacky upset games, but you can't really write a whole article about those.
