Before One Piece there was this series, an early 90s Saturday morning show that was cancelled after two seasons. It was Hanna Barbera's magnum Opus, it was the most expensive show they ever produced, they put a lot of money into the animation quality, the way the characters look along with scripting and world building, it was dramatic at times, but it still had a bit of comedy. It is set in a world called Mer as the crew sails from place to place on their ship Wraith looking for 13 treasures of rule. I loved this show when it was on but I guess the ratings weren't there for it to continue. The crew did manage to find 8 of the treasures
