AEW: With great sadness, AEW mourns the passing of Günter Zapf. A member of AEW Germany's announce team for many years, he will be dearly missed.
Günter had been commentating wrestling for 31 years, having also previously worked for WWE & Lucha Underground before coming to AEW. He also had done commentary for the NFL in Germany.

That sucks. First heard him announcing for WWE with Carsten Schaefer back in the 90. For years those two were the voices of WWE in Germany.
